I'm back from MetalCamp and I don't know where start. It was probably the best Nightwish gig ever and I've seen quite some.
I went there with one of my friends and her mother, who is also a big fan. We got there around 3PM and checked out the festival area and a local band opening. The first big band we went to see was Alestorm but unfortunately due to a storm we spent a great deal of their performance hiding in a tolilet. It got slightly better for Keep of Kalessin but for Death Angel it got again really bad so we decided to stay in our van since we were already soaked. We got back for Kataklysm and I was really happy that these kinds of bands were playing before Nightwish because the audience changed and you didn't have to wait somewhere for hours to get to the front row. When Nightwish came on stage they were just exploding. I've never seen them in such a good shape! When the photographers left we unfolded our special flag made by my friend. It was a combination of a finnish and swedish one. I hope there will be some pictures on the official site. Anette really liked it and was teasing Marco with something about hockey and stuff because he wasn't very thrilled about the swedish part of the flag. I forgot what he called it but it was really funny. I have to admit we got lots of attention from the band, Emppu was constantly throwing picks at us but failed too many times, haha. Marco had also a funny speech before Romanticide, something about Tuomas in boxers and I'm not sure he liked it too much. In general Tuomas seemed slightly distant compared to some previous gigs when he was really flirty and everything. Also the security guys were super fun and nice, even singing songs and waving hands. I was so happy there was no pushing, we all had just so much fun through all the gig. That's why no one even remeberd of taking pics or videos. I hope there will be some from other people. The setlist was the same as at Graspop, only Ghost Love Score was replaced by Poet.
And special thanks to everyone at MetalCamp! Everyone was super nice, from the staff, security, catering, our camping neighbours, other visitors and in the end to the guy who had to pull us with our van with a tractor through all the camping/parking area back to the road because you couldn't get anywhere due to the mud. Everyone was laughing their ass off and filming us three silly chiicks so I hope there will be some videos online.

For the ones interested I found a link where you can listen to the nightwish show in graspop (only end of dead to the world, the siren and amaranth).
After Amaranth they say that they are impressed by Anette's voice and that Anette looks very confident. They also said that she was classicaly trained... blink2.gif
